Since 20221126, customers in Sichuan have provided information. Because the formation is difficult to drill, it is necessary to make a 6-inch and a half-6-blade drill bit with imported 1308XM53, which is expensive. Generally speaking, in Xinsheng 202 block, a drill bit can drill about 60-70 meters without using PDM drill, even if it is good, and the ROP is relatively slow, with 1-2 m/h. In order to reduce the cost, the customer tried to find a domestic alternative cutters. The customer made two bits with 1308BIM-1. In Xinsheng 202 block, one bit got the record of 93.5 m footage and 1.48 m /h ROP, and the other bit got the record of 71.5 m footage and 1.79 m /h ROP. Cutters also collapsed, but it was within the acceptable range. Customer have a good evaluation of 1308BIM-1.

Since 20230103, the customer has provided the following information: In the well Xinsheng 205-1, this stratum is a little easier to drill than that in the block Xinsheng 202. In the case of using PDM Drill, a 1308BIM-1 bit was used in the horizontal section, with a footage of 232 meters and a ROP of about 3 m/h. After checking the bit, it was found that cutters only slightly worn. Then, a 1308XM53 drill bit was drilled, with a footage of 170 meters and a ROP of about 3 m/h, which was slightly faster than the first drill bit, but it was found that XM53 collapsed seriously. The customer thinks that this is a comparison in the horizontal section of the same well, which is comparable. According to the customer's judgment, in this application comparison, the performance of imported cutters is not as good as 1308BIM-1.
